Sports Medicine physician, Brandon Larkin M.D., joined Advanced Bone & Joint in 2007 providing the highest quality care in sports medicine and non-surgical orthopaedics to patients of all ages. With specialized training in the promotion of lifelong fitness and wellness as well as the treatment and prevention of illness and injury, Dr. Larkin helps both athletes and non-athletes maximize function and minimize disability and time away from sports, work or school. He has special interests in concussion care, return to play after injury, treatment of acute tendon and ligament injuries and PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy. In addition to being an independent concussion specialist for the St Louis Cardinals, Dr. Larkin serves as team physician for several area high schools and colleges.
He earned his undergraduate degree cum laude at the University of Missouri-Columbia where he also completed his medical degree and residency training in pediatrics from the University of Missouri School of Medicine. He then trained in the primary care sports medicine fellowship program at Saint Louis University and is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in primary care sports medicine.
