Michael Barron, M.D., is a primary care physician with Barron Family Medicine who is board-certified in Family Medicine. Before earning his medical degree at Saint Louis University School of Medicine, Dr. Barron served on active duty as an infantry officer in the US Marine Corps. He completed his residency through Saint Louis University's Family Medicine program in Belleville, IL.
Dr. Barron started his medical career working for Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundation and serving as a faculty member for St. Elizabeth's Family Medicine residency program. He opened his private practice, Barron Family Medicine, in St. Louis in 2010 and recently moved to a new office location just off of I-170 and Delmar.
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Barron serves with the US Army Reserve’s 325th Combat Support Hospital and has been deployed to Afghanistan, Iraq, and Kuwait.
With a strong interest in practice design and reimbursement reform, Dr. Barron is an active member of Ideal Medical Practice, a national movement to improve primary care. He joined the St Louis Physician Alliance because of his interest in remaining independent and supporting other independent physicians.
