Richard Rames, M.D., is a board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon in private practice at Woods Mill Orthopedics Ltd. since 1999. He earned his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago and completed his Orthopedic Surgery internship and residency at Barnes Hospital and Washington University. He then completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Southern California Orthopedic Institute. Before entering private practice, he was an assistant professor for the Washington University Department of Orthopedics.
Dr. Rames is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Arthroscopic Association of North America, and the St. Louis Metropolitan Medical Society. He serves as the team physician for Parkway Central High School. His special clinical interests include shoulder and knee surgery, joint replacement, and sports medicine. He joined the St. Louis Physician Alliance in 2013 and was recently elected by the membership to serve on the Board of Managers.
