Yazan Abdalla, M.D., is a fellowship trained gastroenterologist who is board-certified in both Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Abdalla earned his medical degree from the University of Jordan School of Medicine. He then completed his internal medicine residency at Saint Louis University School of Medicine where he also earned a fellowship in Gastroenterology. He has been the principal investigator on a number of gastroenterology research studies during fellowship and has presented his work at national GI meetings.
Dr. Abdalla provides high quality, personalized, and evidence based gastroenterology and hepatology care to his patients in clinic. He also performs a wide array of gastroenterology procedures with a focus on high quality colonoscopy for cancer prevention with achievement of a very high adenoma detection rate.
A member of the St Anthony’s Physician Organization at St. Anthony’s Gastroenterology Specialists, Dr. Abdalla is actively involved in the development of a new, state-of-the-art endoscopy lab at St. Anthony’s Medical Center and served on St. Anthony’s Pharmacy and Therapeutic committee. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterology Association, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Dr. Abdalla has been serving on the St Louis Physician Alliance Board of Managers since its inception in January 2014 and also serves on the SLPA Quality Committee.
